Topic: Flow Wedges

Participants: 10 max per session

Provide glass with an opportunity to move and it will. Contain it in a box, on an incline, and you’ll form a three-dimensional glass wedge within which one can witness the suspended flow. Join Nathan via Zoom to consider how glass moves and how we can use flow to our advantage.
Principles of flow will be demonstrated and exploited. Wedges of many sizes will be presented making these methods, and the resulting projects appropriate for kilns large and small.

Coldworking is an integral part of working with flow. Post firing demonstrations will take place in the

coldshop. Attendees will find that the finishing skills learned in this class are applicable to all types of
kiln glass projects. There will be plenty of time for questions and group discussion and an
informative handout will be provided as well as a permanent link to the cold working demo.

Some content will be pre-recorded but most of it will be LIVE.

You will get a link to the recording within 5 days of the workshop.

A mold kit will be available for purchase at the conclusion of the workshop.

We don’t see this as a follow-along type lesson.

Thorough handouts provided via email prior to online session and Nathan is always available after class to help

First 30 minutes of consultation via Office Hours is free for attendees of this workshop.
